Woman rescues one-week-old kitten from overcrowded shelter and finds it a furrever home to flourish and grow

Kitten season is apparently quite a tough time to be a cat recently born into the world. If you are lucky enough to be born into a family that has hooman pawrents already, then your chances of making it through are much higher. But if you, like many others, end up being born on the streets, your chances of making it to adulthood are dramatically reduced. Shelters are overflowing or only taking sleep appointments, there are kittens everywhere competing for food, and there is hardly anyone looking out for you.

But there are a few lucky fur babies who manage to make it into the hands of heroic hoomans who will not stand for an innocent soul being left alone, and do whatever they can to support the growth of their newly found fur baby. Our precious protagonist is of that ilk and while she did what she could to make sure this kitten was given everything it needed, she knew there were others who could do better for the cat child. And so with a heavy heart she had to make a decision that no feline pawrent wants to make.

    Luckily I found Kitten Lady. and I can't thank them enough. Using her as resource, I stopped by PetSmart to grab some KMR, a nursing bottle, and overnighted a SnuggleSafe on Amazon.

  • And we are not surprised that this heartfelt hooman did not have the heart to leave this cat cutie behind. It would be a travesty to let it meet the fate of so many other kittens during kitten season. Luckily, she is about to make some very good choices that while somewhat heartbreaking are ultimately in the best interest of our kitten hero.

  • And there we have it, sometimes life gives you challenges that are double ended. Meaning they challenge you with their arrival and are equally challenging to let go off. The universe knew that this kitten needed to be given the attention it deserved and that while the wonderful woman who rescued him put her life on hold to care for him, it was not her time or responsibility to do so. Not that it makes it any easier to let go of a fluffy bundle of joy like that.
